Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the ListIt mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by ListIt ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using ListIt, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

2. Account Eligibility

To use ListIt, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly notify us of any unauthorised use of your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent any restrictions.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ListIt only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its related systems
• Transmit any harmful, offensive, or disruptive content through the Service
• Use the Service to transmit unsolicited communications (spam)
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service

4. Household Features

ListIt allows you to create a household and invite others to join via a shared code. By sharing your household code, you grant invited users access to view and edit your shared shopping list. You are responsible for who you share your code with. We recommend keeping your invite code private and regenerating it if shared unintentionally.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of ListIt and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our express written permission.

You retain ownership of the content you create (shopping lists, item names, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and transmit that content solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep ListIt available and functional at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications to the Service with or without notice. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time.

7. No Warranty

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at any particular time or location.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ListIt and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or any other damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months prior to the claim.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or for any other reason we deem appropriate. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@trylistit.app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability) shall survive.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
